I’m inviting you to join us in sustaining somethin I’m inviting you to join us in sustaining something that has never been more essential: accessible, affirming mental health care for LGBTQI2SA+ communities.
Since our founding in 2016, our mission has been clear—to provide excellent, affirming care to Queer and Trans folx while working toward broader systemic change. We’ve built a team grounded in shared values: increasing access to quality care, empowering clients and communities, and making mental health services understandable, inclusive, and affirming.
A cornerstone of this work has been our commitment to accessibility. We developed a Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) model for uninsured clients and a Deductible Payment Plan (DPP) for those whose insurance coverage still creates financial barriers. These models are not just payment options—they are lifelines. They allow individuals who might otherwise go without care to access clinicians who understand their identities, relationships, and lived experiences.
Right now, the need for these services is growing at a pace we have never seen before. At the same time, Queer and Trans communities are facing increasing social, political, and structural challenges that directly impact mental health and well-being. In this climate, affirming care is not a luxury—it is critical.
The PWYC model is especially crucial at this moment. It ensures that care remains accessible regardless of income, employment status, or insurance limitations. It reduces barriers, builds trust, and allows individuals to seek support before crises escalate. But sustaining this model requires resources, and the increasing demand has placed a significant strain on our organization.
We are asking for your support to help us continue this work. If our mission aligns with your values, we inviteyou to contribute in whatever way you can!
Every donation directly supports access to care for those who need it most.
You can donate here thru the link in our bio or the QR code above.
We also welcome opportunities to collaborate, share resources, and continue building a network of care among organizations committed to equity and inclusion.
Thank you for the work you do & for supporting ours!

This evening, Drs. Rachael Sytsma-Ramos & Myk Mer This evening, Drs. Rachael Sytsma-Ramos & Myk Merrill attended the Jane Elementary School PTA's "Healthy Minds" event.
The event featured a brief presentation by Dr. Sytsma-Ramos & Jane Stenson's School Psychologist, Mr. Matariyeh about the importance of mental wellness and social-emotional learning at home and in our communities.
Parents learned about the ways they can foster positive mental health practices at home and the students got to practice some skills and build their own "self-care bags" at the community resource fair.
Other organizations in attendance included @skokielibrary @ysgnpride @skokieparks Weber Center, @familyservicecenter and more!
Community partnership is an important part of our mission at Relational Psychology Group and we love giving back to those we serve.

Relational Psychology Group, Inc. was founded in 2 Relational Psychology Group, Inc. was founded in 2016 with a simple mission in mind: to provide excellent care to Queer folx!
Specializing in working with LGBTQI2SA+ clients, communities, and relationships, a beautiful team was built around our shared values and mission-driven work. Our goals have been and continue to be:
* To make quality mental health care accessible and oriented to the clients we work with.
* To promote political change through our clinical and advocacy work.
* To help our clients and communities feel empowered to make change and find health
* To make accessing mental health care easy to understand and empowering.
With these values in mind, we have long offered accessible payment structures for our in-need community members. We built a Pay-What-You-Can model for those without insurance and a Deductible Payment Plan for those with insurance but with coverage that created a burden to accessing quality mental health care with competent and caring clinicians.
However, the need for these services has increased dramatically, and it has taken a toll on our agency as a whole. In order to keep our agency running, we need your help!
If you believe in our mission, please consider donating today. Your donation will help us offset the cost of offering PWYC and DPP for our in-need clients, keep the lights on, and support our clinicians who are dedicated to continuing offering Queer-Affirming care during a time where Queer and Trans folx are under attack.
