Someone took the time to let me know that this post has been debunked for a long time. I haven't been on social media since the election until a couple of weeks ago, so last night was the first night I encountered this image and message. For context, I had just spent the day in D.C. birddogging and meeting with Republican Senate staffers on an issue important to me. It was an exhausting and frustrating day. I was waiting for my ride to finally get home when I started scrolling and saw a graphic that gave me some hope, and I quickly shared it so others would have helpful info. Someone saw it, corrected me (see comments), and I looked into it further. Trans Lifeline put out a statement about this exact image on April 28, 2025. However, the number on this image is for Canadians. So, rather than thanking the commenter and deleting the post to stop the spread of misinformation, I'm leaving the image and this statement so that: 1) Canadians who may come across this random post can see the number for themselves and save it. 2) I can own the mistake I made (with the best intentions but not the best impact) and spread the correct information. ------------------ Our neighbors to the north are doing some good. Today, I had the pleasure of presenting to the sta Today, I had the pleasure of presenting to the staff at Haymarket Center on my favorite topic. The group today was so open and inquisitive. It was refreshing to have people engage in their curiosity and learn for the sake of learning. I love connecting with the mental health community like this. Helping foster growth and acceptance in more places creates a wonderful ripple effect. I'll be presenting again on July 19 as part of Haymarket's Summer workshop series.
